Location: Ellerbeck Fire is located on the north end of the Stansbury Mountains in Tooele County

• 1 Dozers
• 1 Helicopter
• 1 Air Attack
• 1 Heavy Air Tanker
• 1 Single Engine Air Tanker (SEAT)

Cooperators: Utah Division of Forestry, Fire and State Lands, Bureau of Land Management, US Forest Service, Tooele Army Depot, Northern Tooele Fire Department and Tooele County

Yesterday: The Ellerbeck Fire started by lightning with no accompanying rain. Local and state resources responded and the initial report was 4.5 acres. Two homes were threatened and point protection was implemented by a county dozer.

Today: Fire managers are directing crews to directly attack and continue full suppression of the fire. The fire behavior is moderate; creeping and smoldering with upslope runs. Objectives are firefighter and public safety, protection of nearby salt and lyme plants, and to keep the fire off of the BLM wilderness area, directly south of the fire. One home remains threatened at this time. All current resources including air support will remain on the fire.

Evacuations: There are no evacuation orders at this time.

Smoke will be visible from Tooele, Grantsville, and I-80 areas.
