Crooked Creek Fire

CROOKED CREEK FIRE INFORMATION:  435-835-0860.

TheCrooked Creek Fire was ignited by lightning on July 18 in heavy fuels north of Fairview. The fire is burning on private property in a steep canyon with limited access. By Thursday morning, the fire grew to about 5 acres and additional resources were ordered. Two helicopters arrived and began bucket drops while air tankers applied retardant. Two hotshot crews will arrive by tonight or tomorrow morning.

The fire is visible from throughout Sanpete County. The State of Utah and US Forest Service are coordinating efforts and the agreed objective for the fire is to fully suppress it.
