This will be the last update unless a major change in events occurs.
Yesterday: The Crooked Creek Fire has reached 100% containment. Firefighters completed containment line, secured the fire perimeter, and mitigated burning material that posed possible risk for rollout over the containment line. Due to increased containment, the majority of Crooked Creek Fire resources were released to support other fire incidents in need throughout the U.S.
Today: Firefighters will continue to monitor the fire. Smoke and flame may be visible on the fire, however is not likely to spread because it is well into the interior and will continue to be monitored. As a result of lower fire complexity and increased containment, the fire will transition from a Type 3 Incident Management Team to a smaller Type 4 Incident Management Team on Saturday.
Safety: Be cautious when driving in the area. Remember fire restrictions are in place on the Forest.
