Cove Creek Fire Update – August 2, 2018
Summary: Yesterday afternoon and evening cool weather was in the fire area. This gave crews and opportunity to work hot spots along the secure fire line. It also reflected a smaller impact with interior burning and smoke. Today’s activities and weather are similar to yesterday, with crews monitoring and addressing hot spots along the fire perimeter. An increase of interior growth is still possible in the Cove Creek drainage, but will also be monitored and addressed if it is affecting the secure fire line perimeter.
