EVACUATION INFORMATION:  Utah and Carbon County Sheriff’s Offices are currently conducting evacuations.  Search and rescue workers are clearing recreationalists and homeowners through Fish Creek, Bear Ridge, and Soldier Summit as well as portions of Aspen Cove and Scofield in Utah County.  All homes south of State Route 6 to the Carbon County Line.  State Route 96 is being evacuated from the junction with State Route 6 to Scofield.

Several areas are also under pre-evacuation notice.  Areas north of State Route 6 from mile marker 195 to 210 are under notice.  And in Carbon County, Madison Bay, Scofield West, Fish Creek, and the Clear Creek Community are also in pre-evacuation status.  Residents and visitors in these areas should be prepared to evacuate by making a plan.  Please remember the importance of leaving as soon as requested by authorities for your safety as well as that of emergency responders.

State Route 6 is currently open.  However, stopping along the route is not permitted.  Utah Highway Patrol is traveling the canyon and ensuring that all traffic continues through without stopping.  Firefighters will be on the fire throughout the night.  They will be patrolling State Route 6 as well as conducting suppression activity.
