Pole Creek Fire Urgent Update!

The Pole Creek Fire has taken a very fast run  the north  and to the south and east, Nebo Creek Road # 045 is currently closed and homes in that area between the Nebo Creek Rd and Hwy 89 are currently being evacuated by the Utah County Emergency Management team.

Red flag weather conditions with high winds produced extreme fire behavior moving to the northeast toward the mouth of Nebo Creek drainage.

Forest Service area closures are being implemented for a section of the Nebo Loop 015 between Blackhawk Campground turnoff to Monument trailhead. Bear Trap Ridge trail #107, Summit trail #113. Blackhawk Campground is also closed.

Nebo Creek Rd #045, Page Fork Rd #152, the gate will be closed at Hwy 89 on that south end that is currently being evacuated.

The acreage is at 1,500 as of 6:00pm, growth is expected through the night with sustained winds. 5% completed.

Additional resources have been ordered.
