EPHRAIM, Utah, May 18 — Crews continue to monitor the Saul’s Canyon Fire which grew to 110 acres Thursday. The small fire, which was started by lightning earlier in the week, is burning in white fir and dead timber. Spring vegetation in the area has provided excellent conditions to manage the fire for resource benefits and to improve wildlife habitat. Fire managers don’t expect much growth on the fire over the weekend and expect low smoke visibility. The pre-designated area for the fire is 140 acres. Saul’s Canyon is located in the Sanpitch Mountains southwest of Wales, Utah.
