Cooperators: Utah Division of Forestry, Fire and State Lands, Bureau of Land Management, US Forest Service and County
What’s happening: Helicopters will continue dropping buckets of water and supporting the line. Due to rugged terrain, travel times and critical objective of full suppression, direct attack being initiated where feasible. Current resources are on track to meet the target of full suppression. The fire behavior is moderate, with group torching.
Closures: All roads leading into the fire will require a fire personnel escort to ensure firefighter public safety.
Forecast: Red flag warning today. Forecast high winds up to 40 mph. Warming and drying trend; increasing winds are expected with change in directions.
Safety: For your safety and firefighter safety, please do not stop along highway 24 where you see fire activity or equipment.
