FIRE INFORMATION UPDATE

Time: 8:00 a.m. Cause: Human caused, under investigation
Size: 171 acres Percent Contained: 77%
Date Started: July 26, 2018 Location: Middle Canyon
Number of Personnel: 81
Resources: 6 engines, 1 hotshot crews and 1 hand crews
Cooperators: Utah Division of Forestry, Fire and State Lands, USDA Forest Service and North Tooele Fire District and Bureau of Land Management
Yesterday: The crews made great progress yesterday. Objectives were met while working on the perimeter and fire line to contain the fire. Crews also monitored to ensure there was not any spot outside the perimeter.
Today: There is a chance of rain today, and humidity has increased. Crews will continue work to contain the fire and watch for any hot spots. The type 3 team will be turning the fire over to a type 4 team as of Thursday, August 2.
Current Closure Order: Middle Canyon and Butterfield Canyon roads.
