Project Description: The Bucknoll phase 1 project is a rangeland restoration project aimed to reduce hazardous fuels and to enhance wildlife and range habitat.  The project consists of treating 1,085 acres of pinyon/juniper and sagebrush. The project will use pieces of heavy equipment- “Bullhogs,” to mulch pinyon, and juniper. Seed will be dispersed by fix wing aircraft to recover the herbaceous under-story that will improve habitat for grouse, deer, elk, and livestock. This is a cooperative project between Bureau of Land Management and Utah Division of Wildlife Resources.
