Coal Hollow Fire Area, Road and Trail Closure

PROHIBITIONS:
Pursuant to Title 36 CFR 26l.50(b) the following acts are prohibited in the area, on the roads, and trails described in this Order, all within the Ferron Ranger District, Manti-La Sal National Forest.
1. Being in the area, 36 CFR 26l.52(e).
2. Being on the road, 36 CFR261.54(e).
3. Being on the trail, 36 CFR 26l.55(a)
EXEMPTIONS:
Pursuant to 36 CFR 261.50 (e) the following persons are exempt from this Order:
1. Persons with a permit specifically exempting them from the effect of this Order.
2. Any Federal, State, or local officer, or member of an organized rescue or fire fighting force in the performance of an official duty.
3. Federal or State administrative personnel in the performance of an official duty.
4. Owners or lessees of land in the closed area with an incident escort approved by the Forest Service.
AREA DESCRIPTION:
The closed area is depicted on the attached map which is incorporated herein, and is within the boundary starting at the intersection of the National Forest boundary and the Lake Fork Road, proceeding easterly to the Junction with Forest Road 0006(Dairy Fork Canyon Road) thence; Southerly along Forest Road 0070(Little Clear Creek Canyon Road) to the National Forest Boundary thence; easterly along the National Forest boundary to the intersection of the USFS Boundary and the junction of Forest Road 0125 and the boundary at the Utah/Sanpete County Boundary thence; Easterly along the Utah/Sanpete County Boundary to the USFS Boundary at Forest Road 0009(Starvation Road) thence; northerly proceeding to the North East Corner boundary at Clear Creek thence; westerly proceeding to the point of beginning at the Lake Fork Road.
ROAD DESCRIPTION
Forest Road 0070 (Lake Fork Canyon Road): From the National Forest boundary in Lake Fork Canyon to the Junction of Forest Road 0006 and south to the Forest boundary (Little Clear Creek Road).
Forest Road 0006(Dairy Fork Canyon Road): entire length from the junction with Forest Road 0070 to the National Forest boundary.
Forest Road 0150(North Skyline Drive) Segment: From the National Forest boundary at Clear Creek (old Tucker) south to the Utah/Sanpete County Line.
Forest Road 3157: entire length from junction with Forest Road 0150. Forest Road 3185: entire length from junction with Forest Road 0150. Forest Road 0215: entire length from junction with Forest Road 0150.
Forest Road 0125: entire length from junction with Forest Road 0150 to the Forest Boundary.
Forest Road 1041: entire length from junction with Forest Road 0150. Forest Road 3158: entire length from junction with Forest Road 3157. Forest Road 0130: entire length from junction with Forest Road 0215. Forest Road 3147: entire length from junction with Forest Road 0125. Forest Road 3149: entire length from junction with Forest Road 0125. Forest Road 1551: entire length from junction with Forest Road 0150. Forest Road 3151: entire length from junction with Forest Road 0215.
Forest Road 0008(Bennion Ridge Road): entire length from junction with Forest Road 0150 to the Junction with Forest Road 0009(Starvation Road).
Forest Road 0122(Fish Creek Ridge Road): entire length from junction with Forest Road 0150 to the Junction
with Forest Road 0009 (Starvation Road).
TRAIL DESCRIPTION
Forest Trail 366
PURPOSE:
To prevent potential injury to the public during fire-fighting operations and to provide for fire fighter safety on the road
and in the area described during the fire-fighting operation s.
DEFINITION:
See the attached map for a visual representation of the closed area.
IMPLEMENTATION:
1. This Order will be in effect from 1000 hours August 8th, 2018 and shall remain ineffect until October
l’ t, 2018 or until rescinded, whichever is earlier.
2. Violation of the above prohibition(s) is punishable by a fine of not more than $5,000.00 for an
individual or $10,000.00 for an organization, and/or imprisonment for not more than six (6) months. [Title 16
USC 551, Title 18 USC 357 l (b) (6), Title 18 USC 3581 (b) (7)].
